The Greek nazi “Golden Dawn” organization has invited its European
“comrades”, through its web site (www.euro-fest.tk) and its printed
material, to the “first pan-European camp” on 16-18 September in
Greece. The invitation is made jointly with the fascist “NPD” (Germany),
“Forza Nuove” (Italy), and “La Fallange” (Spain) organizations.
European Racist music bands have also been invited for concerts in the context
of the 2005 “Hatewave Festival”.
The Greek governments and the tolerance of the parliamentary parties have for
decades now allowed the legal activity of an open pro-Hitler organization, such
as “Golden Dawn” - contrary to what happens in all other European
democratic countries. This practice violates international anti-racist conventions
and also constitutional and democratic principles. The Antinazi Initiative has
denounced this scandal since the day it was founded and has officially submitted
petition to the competent ministries calling upon them to take measures to outlaw
the nazi. No such measure has ever being taken.
Indicative of the organizers’ fascist impudence is the following excerpt
from the June 2005 issue of the “Resistance + Counterattack” magazine,
issued by “Golden Dawn”:
“60 years have being completed since the end of World War II, when
the European Nations slaughtered one another in a civil conflict that scarcely
concerned them.
The losses were huge for both sides, much bigger than the “millions”
of the ever chased-out persons from Judea with the crooked noses. This year,
on the occasion of this Black Anniversary, hundreds of good democrats gathered
in Russia to …celebrate the greatest defeat of Europe. To …celebrate
the defeat of the evil National-Socialism and the prevalence of Stalin’s
and Churchill’s democracy. We don’t doubt that they have many more
reasons to “celebrate”.
BUT WE HAVE NONE!
…Celebrate, you swine…”.
The nazi of “Golden Dawn”, along with their European “comrades”,
dream of a Europe where the law of “Blood and Honor” would prevail,
being enforced with the well-known Hitler’s barbaric practices.
Greece offers them a meeting place to declare their racist hatred and to praise
their national-socialist ideals. The authorities refuse to forbid the rally
so far. At that, the spokesman of the Police, Oikonomou, has clearly stated
that a rally where the participants don’t carry arms won’t be forbidden.
The organization of this meeting violates the democratic legality, directly
contravenes the European practice, and offends the democratic struggle of the
European peoples.
The Antinazi Initiative calls upon every democrat to protest against this meeting
and to demand from the Greek prime minister to forbid it.

Honorable Prime Minister,
I would hereby like to express my strong protest against the pan-European meeting
of nazi organizations, which is organized by the nazi “Golden Dawn”

Today, 60 years since the great anti-fascist victory of the peoples of the whole
world against Hitler’s brutality, it is unacceptable to allow to those
who propagate ethnic racism and declare the hatred against people of different
race or nationality to organize such meetings.
The nazi of “Golden Dawn”, along with their European “comrades”,
dream of a Europe where the law of “Blood and Honor” would prevail,
being enforced with the well-known Hitler’s barbaric practices.
The organization of this meeting violates the democratic legality, directly
contravenes the European practice, and offends the democratic struggle of the
European peoples.
The democracy is safeguarded only when it is forbidden to the nazi, those who
have slaughtered, suppressed and tortured the humankind, to declare their barbaric
ideas.
Honorable Prime Minister,
I hereby appeal to you and your government in order to:
-Proceed to a direct public statement of political condemnation of the above
nazi meeting in Greece and
-Take all necessary administrative measures to forbid it wherever in Greece
it will be attempted to be held.
